Feeding tips:
o Holland Lops have very sensitive tummies so it is very important to be careful what you feed them
o Clean water (unlimited amount): Obvious but sooo important
o Timothy hay or grass (unlimited amount): The freshest you can find. I buy the Standlee Grab & Go bales at Cal Ranch or Tractor Supply. You can also order Timothy hay from Amazon
o High-quality Alfalfa pellets (about ½ C/day): I feed mine Manna Pro (Sho variety) that you can get from Cal Ranch or Tractor Supply. I also recommend Rangen in Buhl, ID, and Sherwood or Oxbow online
o Papaya Enzyme (1 tablet/day, broken in half, as needed): These chewables are very helpful in helping with digestive issues. I use the Spring Valley brand from Walmart
o Oxbow Critical Care: Holland Lops are prone to GI Stasis so this is good to keep on hand in case of emergency and you can get it from Amazon
o Mineral spool: Some bunnies love these, some don’t, but I buy mine at
Cal Ranch or online
o For the first 6 months, only feed Timothy hay and Alfalfa pellets. After that, some treats like a pinch of old-fashioned oats are okay occasionally
Grooming tips:
o For the first few weeks, check their little bum every day and gently remove any buildup
o Clip nails every so often, as needed
o Provide things for them to chew on, like empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls or chew toys made for rabbits
